Overview
Paid is the fastest channel and the easiest to waste
Organic search and social compound slowly. Paid buys demand today, which makes it the right answer when you need enquiries this month rather than next quarter. It is also the channel where money disappears fastest, usually for reasons that have nothing to do with the ads themselves.
The three most common causes we find are a landing page that asks for too much, no call or form tracking so nobody knows which campaigns actually produce enquiries, and follow up that takes two days. We treat all three as part of the campaign, because optimising ads towards a broken destination just buys more of the same failure faster.
Cost per enquiry is the number
Not impressions, not clicks, not cost per click. Every campaign we run reports the cost of an actual enquiry, and where your sales process allows it, the cost of a booked job. If a channel cannot produce those at a price that works for you, we will recommend moving the budget rather than defending the spend.

What's included
What the work involves
Tracking before spending, always.
Tracking first
Conversion tracking, call tracking and form attribution configured and verified before a single pound is spent. Running ads without this is guessing with a budget attached, and it is the most common state we find accounts in.
Campaign structure and intent
Search campaigns split by intent so a ready to buy query is not competing with a research query for the same budget. Negative keyword work from day one, which is where most wasted spend hides.
Landing pages that match the ad
A dedicated page per campaign, saying the same thing the ad promised, asking for the minimum information needed to start a conversation. Sending paid traffic to a homepage is the second most common way to waste a budget.
Creative and copy testing
Multiple angles tested properly rather than a single ad left running for a year. For Meta and LinkedIn the creative decides most of the result, so production runs continuously alongside the media buying.
Retargeting with a limit
Sensible frequency caps and exclusion of people who already enquired. Following someone around the internet for six weeks after they became a customer is a waste of budget and it irritates them.
Follow up speed
We will look at what happens after the enquiry arrives and tell you if that is the weak link. It very often is, and no amount of campaign optimisation fixes a two day response time.
You own the accounts
Campaigns are built in your own ad accounts. If you leave, the account, history and data stay with you.
Transparent spend
You pay the platforms directly and see exactly what was spent. Our fee is separate and stated up front.
How it runs
01
Audit
We start with a full review of where you stand today and what the businesses outranking you are doing differently.
02
Plan
A written plan setting out the order of work, what each stage costs and the numbers we will report against. You keep it whether or not you hire us.
03
Build
The foundations first: technical fixes, structured data, content and review collection, shipped in weekly increments rather than one large reveal.
04
Compound
Monthly reporting on rankings, AI citations, enquiries and revenue, with the plan adjusted each quarter against what is actually working.
Why GoReview
Why businesses choose us
We own the reputation layer
Our own review platform is used by more than 2,500 businesses and has collected over 60,000 reviews. Review signals feed rankings, AI citations and paid conversion, so we do not have to resell somebody else’s tool.
AI search and classic search together
We optimise for ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews alongside traditional rankings, because buyers now move between all of them.
One team, UK hours
Search, content, social, paid and reputation sit with the same Manchester based team, so channels reinforce each other and you have a named contact who answers the phone.
Reporting on enquiries
We report on calls, forms and revenue, not just traffic. If a channel is not producing enquiries at a sensible cost, we say so and move the budget.
Lead Generation with Paid Ads FAQ
What is the minimum budget?
It depends entirely on your market. A local trade in one town can learn something useful on a modest monthly budget. A competitive legal or cosmetic term where clicks cost double figures needs considerably more before the data means anything. We will tell you the realistic floor for your sector at audit stage rather than taking a budget that cannot work.
Google or Meta?
Google captures people already looking for what you sell, so it usually converts faster. Meta creates demand among people who were not searching, which is better for new services and visual businesses. Most local businesses start with Google and add Meta once the tracking is trustworthy.
Do you take a percentage of ad spend?
We quote a fixed monthly management fee rather than a percentage, because a percentage rewards us for spending more of your money. Fees scale with the number of campaigns and platforms, not with the size of the budget.
Can you take over an existing account?
Yes, and that is often faster than starting fresh because the historical data has value. The first step is an audit of what is there, including what should be switched off immediately.
